Phitsanulok, Thailand: Regional Workshop on “Limiting Temperature Increase to 1.5oC, from Science to Practice: A Learning & Planning Session”, March 7-9, 2017, in Phitsanulok, Thailand. A site visit was conducted to see how local communities have been adjusted themselves to changing climate. ACCC also took an action on the International Women’s Day, calling for climate actions with gender justice. ACCC Plan of Actions and advocacy areas of engagement were finalised.
Cyberjaya, Malaysia: Regional Climate Change Workshop on “Asian Strategies and Actions Towards Keeping the Temperature Increase to 1.5 Degrees Celsius and Avoiding Loss and Damage”, July 11-15, 2016, in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. Climate science with a focus on Asia countries were discussed and ACCC strategies were agreed.
Melaka, Malaysia: ACCC Regional Workshop on Post Paris Agreement, February 29-March 4, 2016, in Melaka, Malaysia. A one-day field visit to Air Hitam Peat Swamp Forest, Johor was conducted to understand peatlands and its contribution to keeping temperature increase to 1.5oC. Reflections on Paris Agreement and CSOs calls were discussed. ACCC also participated in the Asia-Pacific Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation – Resilient Cities Asia-Pacific 2016 from March 2-4, 2016.
